I am organizing a session on Comparative Urbanization for the 1999
American Sociological Association annual meeting in Chicago. The meeting
will be held in August. The session is one of two offered by the
Community and Urban Sociology Section of ASA. Consideration will be given
to papers dealing with any number of issues related to urban processes
and urban structures of particular non-U.S. cities, or comparing such
processes and structures across a few or a great many other countries,
and/or across time.
