Bill Schell says that both Tom Hall and I "liked Blaut's book." It will come
as quite a shock to Blaut that I did. Some months ago on this net he severely
rebuked me for what he took to be my negative review of his book.
It's possible that Schell was referring to my namesake, Steven E. Sanderson, a
political scientist and dean at Emory University, and also a world-system buff.
I have been confused with this other Sanderson on at least six occasions.
