in connection with some lectures i am giving for the social system component
of an earth systems science course, i am looking for figures that illustrate
nicely the global (or regional) flows of the 'stuff' of world systems, like
protein, raw ores, trained professionals, manual workers, weaponry, patent
licenses, investment, profits, cargo, recreation days, research support,
development assistance, etc.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
