Three things here: (1) the financing for the occupation is no doubt mounting
well beyond the anticipated costs of the occupation - hence the call for UN
involvement; (2) the occupation is still being called 'liberation' of Iraqis
from Sadaam; and (3) Sadaam is still at large even though a 'bronze Saddam' was
blasted by US occupiers. The trick here, from the US side, is to get the UN
involved. Some amount of large-scale bribing and buying-in of more allies to
the cause of 'liberation' would be in order over the next few weeks and months.
MS.

US experts warn there may be only three months to stabilise Iraq, as another US
soldier dies in a bomb blast.
