 I think these right wing conservative nut jobs are behind the push towards neo-fascism.  If they believe the bible so literally I don't understand why they would want to support Israel.  Afterall,  Israel is supposed to embrace the anti-Christ in the end times, so why embrace Israel?  If their beliefs tell them that Israel will embrace the anti-Christ then they must surely believe that the Arabs are not the anti-Christ,  as no one can imagine the Jews embracing the Arab world.  So the Arab world, following the logical conclusion of this belief system,  must certainly find itself in war against the anti-Christ during the end times.  Given that,  one can wonder whether radical Muslims are being literal when they refer to the US as the anti-Christ,  because, certainly,  the Jews have embraced America and the anti-Christ must certainly be the dominant force in the world if it is said to have to power to promise peace to the world,  because only the strongest nation in the world could have any possibility of suggesting world peace in any credible fashion.  Also, in accordance with this belief system,  Israel will find itself engaged in a civil conflict.  To my own way of thinking, the Arab world is perhaps the lost tribe of Israel, with reference to Hagar and Ishmael and the common patriarch, Abraham.  They are a distinct race of people, the semities,  So from that perspective,  *Israel* is already at war, albeit mostly a cold war, with itself.
