The Civic Education Project, a non-profit organization
dedicated to educational reform in Central-Eastern
Europe and Eurasia, is still accepting applications
from social anthropologists for a one-year university
teaching fellowship in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan beginning
August 2002 until approx. June 2003. The candidate
would teach sociology and anthropology courses in
English to undergraduates, and aid faculty in
curriculum design and development. Candidates should
have a graduate qualification in sociology or
anthropology. Ph.D. preferred, but ABD or two-year MA
in related field is eligible. For more information,

Georgia

dedicated to educational reform in Central-Eastern
Europe and Eurasia, is still accepting applications
from sociologists for a one-year university teaching
fellowship in Tbilisi, Georgia beginning September
2002 until approx. June 2003. The candidate would
teach courses to undergraduates, and graduates and aid
faculty in curriculum design and development.
Candidates should have a graduate degree in sociology.
Ph.D. preferred, but ABD or two-year MA eligible.
Candidate must be prepared to teach research
methodology and theoretical sociology courses in
