Dear Alan

in case of doubt, load down the original figures from:

http://www.undp.org/hdr2001/indicator/

these problems might have arisen from electronic pasting and transmissions.
the pasting of the UNDP figures into an EXCEL file and back into WORD and
MAIL has to be done in a complicated fashion - usually by 'unformated RTF
file' etc. etc. to be able to perform the rankings of the original UNDP
figures.

Kindest regards

Arno Tausch

Dear Arno

I appreciate your comparative figures on percentages of survival to 60
years, etc. Am I the only one who does not understand the usage of (usually
but not always) two percentage figures after a given country name? What do
the two figures mean?

Thanks

Alan Webster
