Arquilla and his "netwar" stuff is laughably inapplicable to the Osama bin
Laden group.  Pre-state organization is mistaken for post-state
transnational networks of some qualitatively new kind.

From what I've seen, most of the so-called cutting edge network analysis
of Arquilla & co. in the military and think tanks is superficial hype,
designed to keep them employed.
