Re: VIRUS ON THE LIST !!!!!

Dear Colleagues:

First of all, I am extremely sorry about the damage I caused when I
sent an infected virus last Sunday.

Nevertheless, I must point out that the virus was transmitted to me
also through the list, I believe in an HTML message which contained a
mutilated article by Edward Said.

I have McAfee virus scan and had the latest update of the drivers and
software installed two days before I was infected. Somehow, this did
not work with this virus.

The virus, Happtime@mm was a new virus that came in the script of the
message and not in an attachment. I am extremely careful in opening
attachments and never open strange ones or attachments from people I
do not know. That same week I alerted several people about other
strange attachments to their email messages.

Of course I suffered damages to my work. Since last Sunday I have been
dealing with the problem and in the process lost my internal modem.

I have not written to you before not out of lack of concern or
preoccupation but simply because I could not and I wanted to make sure
that my computer was truely disinfected before writing. For example,
on Wednesday, when our specialist was working on the computer and
testing Outlook, the same virus attacked my machine from another
message.
