The School of Social Sciences at the University of California, Irvine
invites applications for a tenure-track position with a focu on Global
Civil Society.  The School especially welcomes a thematic emphasis on
global political economy/inequality, NGOs, communications, global
business, or spatial relations, as well as regional concerns with the
Pacific Rim and/or the global role of California.  The position will be
based in a Social Science department corresponding to the candidate's
background and research interests.  Minimum requirements include a Ph.D.
in one of the social sciences, publication of a major research project,
and demonstrable commitment to undergraduate teaching.
