Andy, can you expand a little bit? I thought both calvinism and
socio-biology had racist connotations... calvinism's work ethic of
"rational organization of labor" and dicipline of self is very smilar to
faschist appeal to survival of the strongest..

The Calvinist theologian has the biggest problem with the Darwinian who
explains racial inferiority by appealing to multiple Adams. The Darwinian
who degrades a line of descent from one Adam is tolerated.

It is neither mystery nor mistake that both Calvinism and social Darwinism
express the essence of the "dynamic pragmatism" of America.
