In response to those who thought my virus warning
should have had "Off Topic" in the subject line....
a) I guess I thought it was important enough for people
to read
and
b) I did try to adhere to the spirit of the "Off
Topic Advocates" by putting in the subject line the words: "Beware of
attachments=Can forwarded text messages have viruses?"
which I presume would be an even clearer indicator that
the topic wasn't about World Systems Political Economy than the phrase "Off
Topic".
Then again, perhaps someone may have thought it was
another review of "Guns, Germs,& Steel" (what with the
reference to viruses..........)
