The above book was published in English last year.
I recently read a short notice of it by Eric Hobsbawm
and have ordered a copy. It is summarised by Hobsbawm as "a remarkable survey of
world history, by a Russian orientalist, using a the Marxist interpretation as a
departure." Has anyone else read it and can comment? Or does any one now of any
online reviews or commentary? Any information or view would be
appreciated.
