RE: World System History Panel Thursday A-17, (8:30-10:15) at the
International Studies Association.

Dear Colleagues;

For some years the World System History group has been working on an
edited volume entitled "World System History: The Social Science of
Long-Term Change." We have been given a panel at which to discuss this
book at the up-coming meeting of the International Studies Association.
Our publisher, Routledge, is making every effort to have copies of the
page proofs and reproductions of the cover available to let people see.
Publication is scheduled for this summer.

For those unfamiliar with the work, contributors include Andrew Bosworth,
Chris Chase-Dunn, Sing Chew, Claudio Cioffi-Revilla, Bob Denemark, Kajsa
Ekholm-Friedman, Jonathan Friedman, Gunder Frank, Barry Gills, Tom Hall,
Alf Hornborg, William McNeill, George Modelski, Stephen Sanderson, Andrew
Sherratt, Bill Thompson, David Warburton and David Wilkinson.

The panel is scheduled for Thursday (A-17) from 8:30 to 10:15. Our
discussant is Richard Little, who received the entire manuscript and
promises some interesting feedback. Other formal participants on the
panel are Jonathan Friedman, Barry Gills, George Modelski, and I. We would
welcome other contributors and all interested parties. It would be best
to have a good showing!

Best regards;

Bob Denemark
