The University of Wales Swansea is seeking to appoint a
Professor of Sociology who will lead a dynamic team of
sociologists in the recently-formed School of Social Sciences
and International Development.
The person appointed will be expected to make a major
contribution to the research profile of sociology at Swansea.
The School provides exciting opportunities for interdisciplinary
collaboration with colleagues in Social Anthropology,
Development Studies, Social Policy, and Social Work, and the new
Professor will occupy a strategic position within the School.

The post is available from 1 October 2000.
