26TH Third World Conference
"Third World and Global Development: Continuing the Search for a
New Paradigm"
March 15-18, 2000
Chicago, Illinois, USA

This interdisciplinary and intercultural conference will
continue to comprehensively examine the complexity of the Third
World and global development into the next millennium. The
process of globalization in the context of economic, political,
cultural, educational, gender, environmental, health,
technological and from both regional and interregional
perspectives will be critically examined. The objective and
central focus of this Conference is to pose original questions,
pursue in-depth analyses, and formulate practical solutions to
key issues confronting contemporary global systems as they
relate to Third World and Diaspora societies.  In particular,
the Conference seeks to initiate new thinking about "Third World
and Global Development" from broad perspectives in a rapidly
changing global order.

The deadline for submitting three copies of the abstract
(maximum 300 words) is January 30, 2000 or until program is
complete:
