CALL FOR ACTION

Stop the Political Kidnapping

Statement of the Communist Party USA

The Communist Party calls on all people of good will to demand an end to
the right-wing political child abuse and kidnapping of Elian Gonzalez. It
is a matter of common sense and decency that a boy who lost his mother and
was floating in the ocean for two days should be returned home to his
father and four grandparents in Cuba.

These ultra-right actions are a violation of international law, U.S. law
and the U.S./Cuba Migratory Agreement of 1995. Call you own senator and
representative to say, stop the inhumanity.

Voice your support for the INS decision to return Elian to his father.
Withdraw the subpoena that will force this 6-year-old to testify before
Congress.

the poor, people on fixed incomes, the elderly, or children and young
people
from poor families are not treated at hospitals like this one. The unique
characteristic of this hospital is that it is open to every citizen of Cuba.
