|I was reading a Polanyi's text when I faced with the terms "catallactic"
|and "catallactically".
|Once consulted my engligh dictionnaries, it's impossible to find that word
|(those ones do not exist there!!!!).
|Can anyone out there help me to find what those words really mean?

I happened to check my email in the reference room at Rutgers library, so,
here it is, from volume 2 of The Oxford English Dictionary:

'catallactic' (from Greek)

A pertaining to exchange
B A proposed name for Political Economy as the 'science of exchanges.' (this
example is from 1856).

Enjoy the rest of Polanyi,

best,

Jozsef (Borocz)
